Dear Artstation, authentic art is the product of hard labor and years of learning and mastering a craft. AI is nothing more than a tool to help visualize ideas — and should be treated only as such. By showcasing artwork created solely with the use of an AI app, you are saying a piece generated with prompt words holds equal weight to a piece created by someone who spent 10+ years of his or her life studying Anatomy, Color Theory, Lights and Shadows, and so much more. The practice of showcasing AI pieces devaluates our art, and this is a huge community of professional artists who value their work. Give us the option to opt out of AI use for our images, and create a policy on AI for the website. Listen to the art community please!
