Role: Character fur look-development; Shading certain garment aspects; Creating different lighting sets
Janimation Studios created the Bimbo Bear model several years ago and was recently tasked with transitioning the original model from Softimage to Maya. I was responsible for grooming the fur using XGen for the Maya version, and shading it using Standard Arnold Hair Shader. I also rebuilt a number of existing materials in order to render it in Arnold for Maya.
Additionally, I was responsible for creating different lighting sets for the fur look-dev, and providing those as the initial templates for multiple studios who would handle the character in the future.
